Processing Stages

Fresh passion fruits are first washed in a bubble washer combined with a brush roller system that removes dirt and surface debris. An inspection conveyor allows workers to remove unripe, damaged, or moldy fruits. The cracking machine splits the hard shell of each passion fruit without crushing the internal seeds. The pulp and seeds are then separated from the shell fragments through a rotary screen.

The extracted pulp and seeds enter a seed separator, where rotating paddles gently separate the pulp from the seeds. The seeds are discharged for disposal or other uses, while the pulp continues to a finisher for final refining. The refined puree then passes through a deaerator to remove dissolved oxygen, preventing oxidation during subsequent thermal processing. A tubular heat exchanger sterilizes the puree before it enters an aseptic buffer tank. Finally, the sterile puree is filled into aseptic bags ranging from 5kg to 220kg and sealed automatically.
